About the Subcommittee 

The Cultural & Events Subcommittee is responsible for bringing the BRACUAAA community together through engaging, creative, and inclusive events that celebrate connection, culture, and shared experiences.

The committee plans and organises a range of activities throughout the year, including cultural programmes, alumni meetups, networking gatherings, and major celebrations. In addition to organising traditional events, the team also works to develop creative event ideas that bring alumni together in a fun and welcoming environment.

These events help alumni reconnect, celebrate their shared heritage, and build meaningful relationships within the BRACUAAA community across Australia.

• Plan and organise cultural programmes and alumni events

• Develop creative and engaging event ideas that bring alumni together

• Coordinate networking gatherings and community meetups

• Manage event planning, logistics, and volunteer coordination

• Collaborate with other subcommittees to ensure successful event delivery

How Alumni Can Contribute 

BRACUAAA is a volunteer-driven organisation, and the strength of our community comes from alumni who generously contribute their time and expertise.

Alumni who enjoy event planning, organising cultural programmes, coordinating volunteers, managing logistics, or creating fun and engaging community experiences are encouraged to get involved.
